MUTTER ERDE

Liedertexte:

1. The River is Flowing

The river is flowing, flowing and growing, the river is flowing back to the sea
Mother Eart carry me, a child I will always be, Mother Earth carry me back to the sea

2. Lady in Black
(Uriah Heep)

1)She came to me one morning, One lonely Sunday morning her long hair flowing In the midwinter wind! I Know not how she found me. For in darkness I was walking and destruction lay around me from a fight I could not win.
Ref: Ah_____ah_______
2) She asked me name my foe then ! I said the need within some men to fight and kill their brothers
without thought of love or god.And I begged her give me horses to trample down my enemy
So eager was my passion to beyour this way of life
- Ref
3) But she would not think of battle that reduces men to animals so easy to begin and yet impossible to end.
For she the mother of all men did counsel to me so wisely then I feared to walk alone again and asked if she would stay
- Ref
3) Oh lady lend your hand I cried or let me rest here at your side have faith and trust in me she said and filled my heart with life. There is no strenghth in numbers have no such misconception but when you need me be assured I won't be far away
- Ref
4) Thus having spoke she turned away and tho' I found no words to say I stood and watched until I saw
her black cloak disappear. My labour is no easier But now I know I'm not alone I find new heart each time
I think upon that windy day. If one day she comes to you drink deeply from her words so wise
take courage from her as your prize and say hello for me.
- Ref

3. When the Music is Over (Doors)

Before I sink into the big sleep
I want to hear, I want to hear
The scream of the butterfly
Come back, baby
Back into my arms

We're getting tired of hanging around
Waiting around with our heads to the ground
I hear a very gentle sound

Very near, yet very far
Very soft, yeah, very clear
Come today, come today

What have they done to the earth, yeah
What have they done to our fair sister?
Ravaged and plundered and ripped her and bit her
Stuck her with knives in the side of the dawn
And tied her with fences and dragged her down

I hear a very gentle sound
With your ear down to the ground

We want the world
And we want it
Now!
Now?
NOW!!

4. Find the Cost of Freedom

(4 way street: Crosby, Stills, Nash und Young)

Find the cost of freedom
Buried in the ground
Mother Earth will swallow you
Lay your body down
5. The Earth is calling (Sally Oldfield)

Leaves green and golden
they are falling silently
snow from the misty mountains
healiong me
on a cloudy day
with a stormy sea I feel

Ref.: the earth is calling for me
from the heart the wind and rain
and the seasons that I loved
they will never be the same.
The earth is calling to me
a voice of strangeness and charm
and the song that I can hear
says we wil awake, we'll reborn.
I know one day we'll find the path
that leads back home

I walk thro' the forest,
the trees are ancient and still
they hold the secrets of the Earth
and they always will
oh they once were tall
and I see them fall and I feel-

Ref.: the earth is calling for me
from the heart the wind and rain
and the seasons that I loved
they will never be the same.
The earth is calling to me
a voice of strangeness and charm
and the song that I can hear
says we wil awake, we'll reborn.
I know one day we'll find the path
that leads back home
